Program Guidelines 

  1. Applicant must be a resident of Sunset Valley.

  2. Attach itemized receipts.

  3. Submit the rebate application within 30 days of completing the work.

  4. Total rebate cannot be more than the cost of the project including anticipated rebates from the City of Austin.

  5. Purchases and applications must be made within the current fiscal year that runs October 1st through September 30th.

Program Guidelines

  • A pre-inspection must be completed before being approved for a rebate

  • System must collect a minimum of 300 gallons

  • Approved Building Permit required

  • The system should last for a minimum of 20 years.

  • Tank specifications must be included in application. 

  • Tanks should be UV resistant or enclosed/painted.

  • Rebates will be issued after the system is installed and inspected by a Public Works representative and a final cost report submitted.

Water Conservation Landscaping 
Up to $600

Program Guidelines

Project eligibility requirements:

  • Converting turfed areas to native planting beds.

  • Converting turf to non irrigated areas such as gravel or mulch.

  • Converting St. Augustine lawns to native turf.

Washing Machine Rebate 
Up to $500
